What is an 'Obvious Palpable Error'?
Updated over 2 months ago

BV Gaming cannot be held responsible for any mistakes in the publishing of prices or other palpable errors which lead to prices or conditions being posted other than those intended, or bets being accepted that contravene these rules. A number of circumstances may arise where a bet or wager is accepted by us in error or where we have made a ‘palpable error’.

1) We shall use all reasonable endeavours to detect any errors and inform customers of them as soon as reasonably practicable. In respect of any error we reserve the right to declare the bet void and return the stake.

2) Despite our every effort to ensure total accuracy, we reserve the right to correct obvious errors made on a bet placed and re-settle the same at the correct price or terms which should have been available.

3) For bets placed in-running that are accepted at incorrect prices and are obvious errors, all bets will be made void and the customer will not be contacted.

4) Any bet placed where the outcome is already known, including In-Play, will be made void. BV Gaming reserves the right to void a bet up to 7 days after the closure of the market if it transpires that the outcome was known when the bet was placed

Please note also our Terms and Conditions:

12.4 A number of circumstances may arise where a Sports Bet and/or Casino Wager is accepted, or a payment is made, by BV Gaming in error, including, but not limited to where BV Gaming makes an error.
12.5 The customer shall inform BV Gaming as soon as reasonably practicable should the customer become aware of any error.
12.6 BV Gaming shall use reasonable endeavours to detect any errors and inform the customer of them as soon as reasonably practicable. In respect of any error, BV Gaming will:
12.6.1 in the first instance, declare the bet void and return the customer’s sports bet into the Account; or and
12.6.2 secondly, correct any error made on a bet placed and re-settle the same at the correct price or terms which were available or should have been available through BV Gaming at the time that the Sports Bet was placed, and the Sports Bet will be deemed to have taken place on the terms which were available for that Sports Bet immediately before the error occurred.
