New 2025 slot Changes

Why is my max stake amount £5 or £2 on Slots?

In accordance with the latest Gambling Commission regulations for UK players, a new £5 Max Bet limit on slots has been introduced for players aged 25 and over. This means that £5 will be the maximum amount any player over 25 can wager per spin.

This rule officially takes effect on April 9, 2025. However, at Betvictor, we take our commitment to responsible gambling seriously. To ensure a seamless transition, we have implemented these limits ahead of schedule, giving players time to adjust before the deadline.

In line with these regulatory changes, a new £2 Max Bet limit on slots will apply to players aged 18-24. This rule comes into effect on May 21st, meaning all players within this age group will be limited to a maximum stake of £2 per spin.

Why am I getting an error message when trying to bet more than £5/£2?

This restriction applies to all UK-registered accounts to ensure that players cannot exceed the maximum stake limit set for their age group.

Which games are not affected by these changes?

All Live Casino games, Table Games, and Arcade games remain unaffected by these updates.

Casino slot game changes 2021 for UK customers

Following an 8-week review in 2020 conducted by the UK Gambling Commission a proposal was made to implement changes to Slots games to make them safer for players. The overall aim is to reduce the intensity of slot games.
These changes were implemented October 31st 2021

What the measures are and what it means

Prohibiting multiple slot games – A restriction will be implemented to ensure players are permitted to play only one slot game at a time per account across multiple tabs/windows, browsers, applications (apps) or devices.

Introducing speed of play limits – A minimum cycle game speed of 2.5 seconds for Slot games.

Prohibiting player-led “spin stop” features - The ability to speed up games such as turbo, quick spin and slam stop are not permitted.

Prohibiting auto-play functionality for online slots – Auto-play or auto-spin will no longer be permitted for Slot games; customers will now need to initiate each individual gameplay by the press of a button.

Prohibiting effects that give the illusion of “false wins” - Slot games will ensure that returns equal to or below stake must not be celebrated in the same way as a “true win”.

Display of net position and time spent – Slot games will display with the customer net position (overall win/loss) and time spent during that slot game session. See below example to the top left corner of the image!
